“These-ABLED” Children and PhilHealth Friendship Games

On 20 December 2019, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) held its 2nd Annual “These-ABLED” Children and PhilHealth Friendship Games. PhilHealth continuously develops benefit packages to ensure financial risk protection and access to quality health care services for children with disabilities (CWD). These efforts are in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability. CWDs have the right to develop to the maximum extent possible. AIHO supported PhilHealth in this event through the donation of over 100 toiletry kits.
AIHO continues to support PhilHealth as the Philippines advances towards making Universal Health Care a reality, ensuring that no Filipino is left behind.
This event was made possible through PhilHealth’s partnership with NORFIL Foundation Inc., Physicians for Peace Philippines, Philippine Partnership on Children with Disabilities, and the Jessie Robredo Foundation.
